What we do...
Thank you for your interest in our DSI Newsletter. Before pharmaceutical companies introduce new medications into the marketplace, they employ firms like Drug Study Institute to test them with volunteers. DSI has developed a special method that patients love that minimizes risk and maximizes benefits built upon close clinical monitoring, education and close follow up.

All DSI volunteers enjoy five major benefits:

Why you are so important...
Without volunteers for clinical tests, there would be no new drugs to fight diseases and various ailments. Someone has to go first and try a new treatment. The research process DSI employs provides the necessary environment to help you improve you health for years to come. By participating in a clinical trial you are helping yourself and others just like you live longer and healthier, now and into the future.

Many patient volunteers often return as research subject volunteers voicing their enthusiasm for an unprecedented level of healthcare received as DSI. In addition, patient volunteers learn lots more about their disease process. This leads to a better understanding of how to deal with future health care issues.

What it's like to be a volunteer
After your complete exam you are obligated to take all medicines, keep scheduled appointments and keep your investigator, Dr. Saponaro, informed of any and all health issues that occur during the trial. Your privacy is protected at all times and all medical records are kept strictly confidential. Safety and constant communications are top priorities.

About principal investigator,
Joseph Saponaro, MD, DABIM, FACP, CPI, CCRI, CCRC, CCRP
Dr. Saponaro heads up the Jupiter Preventive medicine Center and is the Principal Investigator of DSI (Drug Study Institute) where he practices pharmaceutical medicine. He has been elected Fellow American College of Physicians (FACP). This distinction recognizes achievements in internal medicine. Dr. Saponaro has extensive experience in the field of Pharmaceutical Medicine and has received several board certifications in medical research. In 1990, he moved to Florida with his wife, Melody I. Sanger, BSN, RN, MD, CCRC, CCRP. She is Director of Clinical Research at DSI.
